AI tech pack generator
Start from a sample, last season's PDF, a product link, or a sentence. StitchGrid draws the flats, writes the spec, and hands you a tech pack you can correct, approve, and send to any factory.
01Four ways in
Start with whatever you have
A sample on your desk, last season's PDF, a link to something you admire, or a single sentence. Each one comes back as the same complete tech pack.

- Flats
- Measurements
- Materials
- Construction
Drafted in about two minutes
02What comes back
A complete pack, in the order a factory reads it
Flats
Front and back technical drawings in proportion, every colorway, and close-ups of the details a factory would otherwise guess at.
Materials
Fabrics with a quality and an estimated yield, trims with quantities, and the sub-materials beneath both.
Measurements
Points of measure graded across your size run, each with a tolerance a sample can pass or fail.
Construction
Stitch types, seam allowances, and topstitch margins, written in the vocabulary sewing floors use.
Artwork and labels
Print and embroidery placement measured from a fixed point, plus your woven labels, care, fiber content, and origin.
Revisions
Every change dated, so a factory quoting one version and sewing another is something you catch on paper.

03Where you decide
A fast draft, with every decision left to you
A tech pack is the document a factory prices and sews from, so the generator stops where a person's judgment matters.
- 01
You confirm the flats first
The run stops at the drawings until a person approves them. Every later page annotates the flat, so an error there would carry through everything else.
- 02
Corrections edit the drawing
Fixing a flat changes what is wrong and keeps the rest, so the measurements and materials you already reviewed survive the correction.
- 03
Your standards come built in
Set up your woven labels and care instructions once, and every new pack starts from them instead of from a blank page.
- 04
Nothing goes out until you approve it
Every line, measurement, and material can be edited. The version you approve is the exact version factories see.
04Into the factory's hands
Send it the way factories already work
No factory needs an account, a portal, or new software to quote from what you send.
- An .xlsx in the layout sourcing offices already use, one page per view, with the flats embedded
- A link factories open without an account, with your target price and margin left out
- A link you can turn off or replace whenever you choose
- An instant estimate of what the style should cost, before the first quote arrives
- Quote requests to the factories you already use, with the answers compared side by side

06Questions
Common questions
- What is an AI tech pack generator?
- It drafts the specification a factory builds a garment from, including flats, materials, graded measurements, construction, and labels, from whatever you start with. StitchGrid starts from a sample photo, an existing PDF, a product link, or a written brief, and you review and approve the draft before any factory sees it.
- How accurate is an AI-drafted tech pack?
- Accurate enough to quote from and sample against, once you have reviewed it. The flats are confirmed by a person before anything else is written, and every field stays editable. Fit is still proven the way it always has been, on a sample, and each sample round is kept with the version of the spec it was sewn from.
- Can I bring in a tech pack I already have?
- Yes. Upload the PDF, even a scan, whether it came from Techpacker, Illustrator, or a factory. It becomes a spec you can edit, version, and export, rather than a file nobody can change.
- What do factories receive?
- An .xlsx in the layout most sourcing offices already work in, or a link they open without creating an account. The link leaves out your target price and margin, and you can turn it off at any time.
- Does it work beyond apparel?
- It covers soft home goods as well, such as pillows and cushion covers, throws, bedding, towels, and table linens, with print and mockup libraries kept beside your styles.
- What does it cost?
- Your first style and its tech pack are free on the Evaluate plan. Develop is $399 a month for up to five active styles and 200 AI credits, and it begins with a 14-day trial that needs no card.
